DENSITY BOTTLE WITH I/C STOPPER
“Cowbell” Density Bottle with I/C Stopper specific gravity is a measure of the actual particles which make up the soil mass and is defined as the ratio of the mass of the particles to the mass of the water they displace. A knowledge of the particle density is essential in relation to other soil tests. It is used when calculating porosity and voids ratio and is particularly important when compaction and consolidation properties are being investigated. The majority of apparatus used for the various tests is general laboratory equipment.

DESICCATOR (VACUUM)
“Cowbell “ Desiccators are made of Polypropylene and Polycarbonate. The autoclave vacuum desiccators can hold vacuum upto 740mm of Hg for 24hrs. without any greasing.
The top dome, moulded in rigid and transparent Polycarbonate, gives a crystal clear view of the desiccant placed inside. The Knurled knob on the top provides easy handling of the dome. The lower part is made of Polypropylene. An internal groove is provided on the flange to hold a silicon rubber O-Ring.

DISTILLATION APPARATUS
Distillation is the process of separating the components or substances from a liquid mixture by selective boiling and condensation. Distillation may result in essentially complete separation (nearly pure components), or it may be a partial separation that increases the concentration of selected components of the mixture. In either case the process exploits differences in the volatility of the mixture’s components. In industrial chemistry, distillation is a unit operation of practically universal importance, but it is a physical separation process and not a chemical reaction.

DISTILLATION FLASK
“Cowbell” distilling flask, also known as a fractional distillation flask or fractioning flask, is a vessel with a round bottom and a long neck from which a side arm protrudes. It is primarily used for distillation, the process of separating a mixture of liquids with different boiling points through evaporation and condensation.

DROPPING FUNNEL WITH GLASS STOPPER
“Cowbell” dropping funnel is a glassware used to transfer fluids. They are fitted with a stopcock which allows the flow to be controlled. Dropping funnels are useful for adding reagents slowly, i.e. drop-wise. This may be desirable when the quick addition of the reagent may result in side reactions, or if the reaction is too vigorous.

EVAPORATION DISH
“Cowbell” Evaporating Dish or Watch Glass is a piece of laboratory glassware used for the evaporation of solutions and supernatant liquids, [note 1] and sometimes to their melting point. Evaporating dishes are used to evaporate excess solvents – most commonly water – to produce a concentrated solution or a solid precipitate of the dissolved substance.

FILTER FUNNEL
“Cowbell”filter funnel is a laboratory funnel used for separating solids from liquids via the laboratory process of filtering. In order to achieve this, a cone-like shaped piece offilter paper is usually folded into a cone and placed within the funnel. The suspension of solid and liquid is then poured through the funnel.
